Code Genome: Senior Web Developer
Code Genome Inc. is a web application development company based in Montreal. We are focused on creating the best information management experience for our users. We have started a shift from working as external consultants to building our own range of web application products.
Our first product is an agile project management tool currently beta tested by companies such as Softimage, Cossette Communication among others. It will be available publicly in June 2007. Our next 2 projects are currently in stealth mode.
We are currently looking to hire our next teammate, to help us transform business opportunities into product realities and improve our streamlined development process.
Technical Skills
- Mandatory:
- First and foremost, you need to be a Ruby On Rails guru;
- Strong optimizer of SQL queries, mostly running on mySql servers;
- User experience is key and our interfaces are modular and reusable, you are not a designer… but CSS2 layouts have no secrets for you;
- Let’s not forget some must haves… JavaScript, DOM scripting, Ajax;
- Test driven development and Agile methodology;
- Good to know:
- Apache/Mongrel dynamic duo, you know your way around some Unix shells, restful
- Web APIs, source management with Subversion.
