Meet Some Great Companies: Ripple IT, Galen Technology Solutions and Call Genie
Companies from all over are jumping on board with Standout Jobs to give it a try. The goal is simple: Launch a more effective, dynamic and interesting Career Site to really engage an audience of job seekers.
A few companies have taken the plunge, and I’d like to introduce them here:
- Ripple IT: Ripple has the honor of being the first company to sign-up after our launch at DEMO. They’re based in Atlanta, Georgia and currently have a job opening for a Service Engineer. Ripple provides outsourced IT services. Mike Landman at Ripple jumped on board and started uploading photos and testing things out, which is great to see!
- Galen Technology Solutions: GTS launched their site yesterday (or the day before) and already have posted 5 jobs. GTS is based smack dab in the middle of New York. They provide information technology services to a number of key sectors, including Financial, Pharmaceutical, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Law firms. They have a wide variety of tech jobs including Database Systems Manager, Senior UI Software Developer and Application Security Analyst.
- Call Genie: They just launched their Career Site today, so they don’t have any jobs posted yet, but you can be sure they’ll be adding some soon. In the meantime, they’re still worth checking out. Based in Calgary, Alberta (although they also have offices in Toronto, Amsterdam & Dallas), Call Genie provides voice enabled local search solutions. And they recently moved over to the TSX. Looks like a fast moving tech company that would interest quite a few people.
It’s great to see companies setting up Career Sites, testing things out and starting to truly reach out to candidates in a new way. These companies are starting to actively update their sites - posting new jobs, pictures, blog posts, etc. - and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some videos too.
Go check these companies out, and if you’re in Atlanta, New York or Calgary and find these companies interesting, all you have to do is sign-up to receive their newsfeeds (you can’t miss the big orange button on each site.) That way you’ll get news from the companies as they update their Career Sites.

Wow. We have the distinction of being #1!
I must say, my experience with SOJ has been great so far. Easy to use, and everyone has been extremely helpful. Good luck guys!
These days, everything and anything can be found on the Internet. It works positively as it helps people find new ways to connect with one another. In this case, it’s about helping companies broaden their horizons and tap into their potential clients online. This is the Internet age and more and more organizations are starting to see how they can use the web to their advantage.
@Mike: Glad your experience has been positive so far!
