Standout Jobs Sponsors RecruitingBlogs.com Networking Event in Las Vegas

by Benjamin Yoskovitz

Who can resist, right? It’s all about recruiting. It’s in Vegas. And it’s being organized by good friend, Jason Davis from RecruitingBlogs.com.

Jason’s been a supporter of Standout Jobs from very early on, and even provided us with a great quote for our Reception launch press release:

“Standout Jobs’ approach to relationship-based recruiting and their Reception product is the most exciting offering for recruiting that I’ve seen in a really long time. Online recruiting is no longer limited to traditional job sites like Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com. The future of hiring is clearly going to where Reception is positioned.”

RecruitingBlogs.com is a great resource for recruiters, and his subscriber base is growing quickly. I have no doubt that the Networking Event in Las Vegas will be a huge success and a ton of fun. I’m still working out the details to get myself out there for the event.

It coincides nicely with the Recruiting Roadshow taking place the day before (in Vegas of course.) It’s organized by some amazing people including John Sumser. The goal of the Roadshow (which has visited numerous cities already) is to get the HR experts who are actively online and involved in the “big picture” (folks like Richard Becker, Don Ramer, Dave Mendoza and Matt Martone interacting and networking with local recruiters on a city-by-city basis. It gives everyone a chance to get down to the nitty gritty, learn more about the latest trends in HR and figure out what’s working (or not) at a local level. In some ways, it’s not dissimilar to BarCamp or other UnConferences, which are always about bigger issues but handled with a local flavor. And they’re always fun, relaxed and worthwhile events. If I get to Vegas, I’ll most certainly attend the Recruiting Roadshow as well.

As for RecruitingBlogs.com and the Las Vegas Networking Event, I’m very happy Standout Jobs is able to sponsor it and support the recruiting community. Plus it’s Vegas…how can you go wrong?
